The Founders
Nato P. James
Co-Founder
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Nato P. James has always believed in the power of community and the importance of lifting others up. As the first in his family to graduate from college, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University and later obtained a Master of Education in Administration Leadership from Texas Southern University. His journey taught him that determination, faith, and opportunity can change the course of a life—a belief that has guided his 20-year career as an educator, mentor, and leader, and now as the co-founder of Duncan, James & Warner Housing.
Throughout his two decades in education, Nato served in some of the most challenging schools across Texas as a teacher, administrator, and principal. His mission was clear: to build systems that promote growth, equity, and stability—not only for students, but for families and communities. This same philosophy drives his work at Duncan, James & Warner Housing, where he and co-founder Vincent Duncan provide faith-based, sober living environments designed to help veterans, justice-involved individuals, and those in recovery, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.
For Nato, this work is deeply personal. Through Duncan, James & Warner Housing, he continues his lifelong mission of service—creating homes that provide more than shelter by offering structure, accountability, and community. To him, this is not just a business—it is a calling and a continuation of his commitment to lead with compassion, serve with purpose, and inspire hope where it’s needed most.
Outside of his professional work, Nato enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, Chico. He stays active by working out, playing golf and participating in local recreational leagues. He remains passionate about education, continuing to advocate for students and parents navigating the educational system, particularly those with disabilities, and mentoring aspiring leaders in education.

Vincent Duncan Warner
Co-Founder

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Vincent Duncan is a husband, father, and community leader dedicated to helping others rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. As the first in his family to attend and graduate from college, Vincent earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Studies with a minor in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. His journey from humble beginnings to leadership has been shaped by perseverance, faith, and a deep commitment to service.
Vincent’s life experiences taught him the power of unselfishness and compassion in helping others — values that became the foundation of Duncan, James & Warner Housing, which he co-founded alongside Nato P. James. Through this organization, Vincent channels his long standing of leadership, mentorship, and community service into creating faith-based, sober living environments that foster empowerment, stability, and transformation. His work reflects a deep belief that everyone, regardless of their past, deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life with dignity, purpose, and hope.
Guided by faith and family, Vincent is married to his wife of 14 years, Janise Duncan, and together they are the proud parents of three boys — Koach, Kyon, and Sire — along with two beloved dogs. Outside of his work, Vincent enjoys coaching and training his sons, staying active through sports, and binge-watching shows with his wife. His role as a husband and father continues to inspire his dedication to mentoring others and building programs that strengthen families and communities.
Vincent’s commitment to service and faith remains at the heart of everything he does. His guiding scriptures, *Psalm 121* and *Proverbs 22:6*, remind him daily of the importance of faith, family, and purpose — the same principles that continue to guide his mission at Duncan, James & Warner Housing.
